According to the documentary Crónicas de OVNIs: Perú, the pilots reported the unusual object to air traffic control and the control tower subsequently observed an unusual radar echo. Wilson Bravo was interviewed and described the appearance of the unusual return and its subsequent disappearance. No original radar recording, radar plot, controller log, or official air-traffic-control report has yet been located, so this evidence should currently be treated as reported testimony rather than independently verified radar data.
