Locomotive driver
Gennady Dushin is identified in a later Russian-language case history as a locomotive driver who was at Imatozero station during the Train 1702 Incident. He reportedly heard the radio communication in which train driver Sergey Orlov described an unusual luminous object ahead of the locomotive. Dushin is also credited in that account with recording the time of the communication as approximately 20:35 Moscow time. His reported role concerns the radio exchange rather than a confirmed direct visual observation of the object.
